SHIPPING BIRDS

SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS

Shipping birds to our studio is simple and cost effective:

1).  Concerning the shipping of all

       migratory and game birds:

       All parcels shipped must be

labeled on the outside of the box,

       or container, itemizing the exact

       species and quantity being

shipped; the sex of each bird, the

exact number of birds, and the

       Hunter's hunting license number.

2).  Please place the frozen birds in

        individually identified plastic

bags; then wrap the birds in

        several sheets of newspaper

to help keep them frozen as long

        as possible.

3).  The plastic bags must have a tight

seal without any holes in them to

        prevent any unwanted leakage

        during shipping.

4).  Ship all birds frozen solid using

UPS or Fed Ex Next Day Air.  Ship

only on Mondays or Tuesdays to

        prevent any possible weekend

        layovers.

5).  All migratory birds require a tag

attached to one leg listing the

        following information:

 a).  Hunter’s Name

 b).  Hunter's physical Address

 c).  Hunter's phone number

 d).  Hunter's hunting license number

 e).  Species of the bird

 f).   Sex of the bird

g).  Where the bird was taken

h).  When the bird was taken

i).   The hunters signature on each tag

Download a copy of this Bird Tag here:

Please feel free to download and print out this tag, and attach it to one of the individual bird’s leg.

For your convience, if you wish not to download and print out this Bird Tag, please e-mail me your address, and I will mail back to you the number of tags that you need - free of charge.

Please, always call us before shipping your trophy to us, so that we can expect your package.

Note: Doves are also categorized as migratory birds and also fall under the same Federal guidelines as waterfowl, "as per the U. S. Federal Regulations", and must also be tagged accordingly.

Note: All migratory birds received in our studio from other taxidermists must be accompanied by a photocopy of the taxidermist's federal permit, and each bird must be properly tagged with all pertinent information as per the U. S. Federal Regulations;  there are absolutely no exceptions to this regulation!
